Grand Multicom Pro wireless full-duplex radio system with headsets
This brand new wireless intercom communication system allows 10 people per group to communicate via full duplex. The system can also be expanded to the existing radio network via a PTT radio gateway.
Crystal-clear communication is encrypted in the 2.4 GHz band and the extremely robust devices are certified to protection class IP67.
Various types of headsets are available for all conceivable application scenarios. These range from lightweight single-sided or double-sided headsets with ear, neck or headbands to heavy-duty hearing protection headsets with good noise insulation and noise-compensating microphones.Â
Using a Nexus adapter cable, we can access our entire range of headsets, allowing you to integrate headsets that you already have in use.
operating modes
In [9+1] mode, there can be any number of participants in the group. However, only 10 people can speak at the same time. The rest of the group can only listen. By pressing the PTT, you can “dial into” the group as soon as a place becomes available.
9 fixed users + any of the participants can talk to each other at the same time!
In RELAY mode [REL], several groups can be linked together via the radio gateway with PTT function, enabling communication between several groups (each with up to 10 people) over longer distances (with digital radio, across the entire coverage area). A simple switch allows you to select between local and system mode.
In repeater [RPT] mode, the master device is positioned centrally to improve communication and range between devices. The ideally placed master unit relays conversations between individual users to minimise the impact of obstacles in the environment.
In roaming [ROM] mode, a sub-master is programmed in addition to the main master device to act as a mutual relay. This allows the range to be extended.
Area of application [9+1] classic full-duplex intercom for max. 9+1 persons
In classic intercom applications, a total of 10 people can communicate with each other in full duplex mode within a group. One device must be set as the master, and the other 9 devices as slaves.
All 10 people can listen and speak at any time, just like with a normal telephone call!
The 2.4 GHz version has a range of up to 300 metres. These devices can be used worldwide without restrictions.
Area of application [REL] with radio gateway and wired intercom
With the help of the radio gateway, the wireless intercom can be expanded extremely flexibly in RELAY mode:
For example, it is possible to integrate existing radios (e.g. the TETRA Motorola MTP3550 police radio) into the intercom. This allows the group to not only talk to all other radios on the same channel, but also to another second intercom group that also uses Grand Multicom Pro full-duplex devices. When communicating via the radio, the PTT transmit button, which is available on every device, must of course also be pressed.
An existing wired intercom can also be integrated via an additional jack socket.
Gateway -> The intercom is connected to a radio device via the gateway.
In RELAY mode, a Grand Multicom Pro intercom radio is connected to the radio via a PTT gateway. This integrates intercom communication into the radio network. Additional gateways can also be used to connect multiple groups with each other. The gateway can be operated in two different modes, System and Local, which can be selected using a simple switch:
-In Local mode, all group members can communicate with each other via
full duplex in their respective groups. The two group commanders
can also talk to each other by pressing the PTT on the radio gateway.

full duplex in their respective groups. By pressing the PTT on the device, all members can also talk to all other participants in the other groups. All conversations via the radio are of course also heard in all groups.

Local mode -> Group commanders can talk to each other!
For multiple groups of up to 10 people each
In Local Mode, only the two group commanders can talk to each other by pressing the PTT on the radio gateway. The respective group members can only communicate with each other via full duplex within their group. The commander can then communicate all relevant information to his own group via full duplex.
System mode -> Everyone can talk to everyone!

In system mode, each participant can also speak to all other participants in the second group by pressing the PTT on the device (the group commander must press the PTT on the radio gateway). All conversations via the radio are of course also heard in both groups.

Headsets and adapter cables
Using an adapter cable with a Nexus socket, any headset with a Nexus plug can also be connected to the intercom radio. This means that existing headsets can be used at any time. It is important to select the adapter cable with the correct pin configuration.
This compatibility is essential, especially for the police and military, as many headsets, e.g. from 3M Peltor, are already in use there. This means that small teams of up to 10 members can be put together quickly and flexibly, and they can communicate with each other in full duplex using the existing communication equipment!
